Hot Cocoa for Healthy Skin & Hair

There's nothing more cozy than a cup of hot chocolate on a winter day. This recipe helps you keep your skin healthy and glowing during the colder months of the year.

Hot Chocolate Recipe (2 servings)

Ingredients:

  • 1 scoop of Collagen Peptides
  • 1/3 cup of sugar or stevia to taste
  • 3 tbsp of unsweetened cocoa powder.
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 2 cups of milk (whole, 2%, or alternative milk)
  • 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup of half-and-half

Steps:

  1. Add sugar, cocoa powder, and salt to a small pot and add boiling water to dissolve.
  2. Continually stir until the mixture is homogenous, then add a scoop of Collagen Peptides and stir until dissolved.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil then slowly add milk while stirring.
  4. Bring the heat down to keep the hot chocolate warm without boiling. Once it's off the heat, add vanilla extract.
  5. Coat the bottom of your mug with half-and-half then pour the hot cocoa to serve.
  6. Top with whipped cream, marshmallows, chocolate shavings, or all of the above.
